Women in Bombay Protest Rape of Girl on Train

BOMBAY, Aug. 28 (Reuters) — Hundreds of women and children demonstrated in Bombay today to protest against the rape of a teenage girl on a train in a city considered one of the country's safest for women. The 17-year-old girl was raped by a drunken man in front of seven passengers on a suburban train nearly two weeks ago, prompting outrage among residents in Bombay, India's financial capital.
